Alex Mirugwe

Alex Mirugwe joined the Program as a Data Scientist effective 1^st April 2020. He is a computer engineer and data scientist with a working experience of 2 years.

Prior to joining the Program, Alex was a data scientist at the Western Cape Health Department in South Africa for nine months and before that, as a data analyst at Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA).

Alex holds a Master’s of Science in Data Science from the University of Cape Town – South Africa and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from Makerere University, Kampala. He has also done several online courses in statistics, databases, machine learning and deep learning.
