Event Details
All stakeholders of the DREAMS program depend on the METS to avail them with data on how the program is performing. This involves periodic analysis of the data in the system to determine progress and performance. Considering that all stakeholders depend on the data in the system to make decision, it is imperative that the quality of data is ascertained. Against this background, a Data Quality Assessment for the DREAMS program has been scheduled for the 16thto 27thApril 2018 in all the 10 districts where the program is implemented. Currently, there are over 897 service points where DREAMS interventions are conducted. The DQA will be conducted in 1/3 (270) of the service points and information on all the girls in that service point will be reviewed.
The DREAMS program which combines both community and health facility-based interventions in 10 districts (Gomba, Butambala, Sembabule, Mityana, Mubende, Rakai, Mukono, Lira, Oyam and Gulu) is a proof of concept expected to lead to a reduction in HIV infection among adolescent girls and young women by 40% within 2 years
