Event Details
Ministry of Health (MOH) with support from partners is currently implementing electronic data collection, management and analysis at all levels of the health system aimed at improving on convenience, accuracy and feedback of surveillance data. MOH is using an SMS based reporting platform known as mTrac for reporting the weekly epidemiological surveillance data. mTrac aims to strengthen health systems by; a) Facilitating timely reporting of key indicators; b) Enhancing national medicines monitoring and availability; c) Generating community action for accountability; and d) Improving Disease surveillance, notifications and alerts
MOH and partners would like to assess the impact mTracPro will have on improvement of health service delivery. In that regard, Ministry of Health would like to develop a monitoring and evaluation framework over the next five years to assess the impact of mTracPro.
The main objective is to engage the various technical programs and departments to come up with data validation rules and standard operating procedures which will improve the usability of HMIS 033b Report and mTrac.
