Barbara holds a master of Public Health degree of Makerere University, a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery of Mbarara University and a certificate in Conducting Epidemiological Research from Johns Hopkins University. She has also had training in advanced comprehensive HIV/AIDS care and treatment, Advanced TB and HIV/AIDS from Infectious diseases institute, Palliative care for health Professional in Africa and training of trainers for monitoring and evaluation of option B+ by ministry of Health Uganda. She is currently working with the METS Program as a Monitoring and Evaluation Technical Advisor
She has 10 years’ experience implementing comprehensive HIV/AIDS care treatment and prevention in both rural and urban settings in Uganda. Over the last 10 years she has worked with the General Military Hospital, Medical Research Council Unit on AIDS in Uganda, Infectious Diseases Institute and Kampala Capital City Authority in different capacities.
Barbara is interested in improving health service delivery through strengthening national and district monitoring and evaluation systems for evidence based policy and decision making.
